We help cover the cost of essential reproductive and sexual health care through Salish Sea Medical. This includes STI screenings, contraception, pap smears, and PrEP workups. For contraception, we cover the cost of prescriptions, and thanks to this spring’s Give Orcas campaign, we now have funding for a new IUD program. These services are available to ANYONE who needs confidential care or cannot afford care.
Our education programs support Island youth with accurate, inclusive, and engaging sexual health information. Teen Reps, our high school club, leads peer education at the high school and creates community resources like zines and stickers. For middle schoolers, we offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum, with cohorts starting each fall.
We want to make it easy to access free sexual health supplies in the community. You can find condoms around the island, Plan B, and pregnancy tests at Ray’s Pharmacy, Con’s Pit Stop, Orcas Community Resource Center & Orcas Food Co-op.
How it works: Just mention “OISHA” (for example, “I’m with OISHA”) at the counter.
