We cover the cost of essential reproductive and sexual health care services through Salish Sea Medical in Eastsound. This includes: STI testing, contraception Rxs, IUDs & implants, Pap tests, cervical cancer screenings and PrEP workups.

These services are available to ANYONE who needs confidential or no cost care.

Our education programs support Islanders with accurate, inclusive, and engaging sexual health information.

Teen Reps, our high school club, leads peer education at the high school and creates community resources like zines and stickers.

For middle schoolers, we offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum, with cohorts starting each fall.

You can find condoms, pregnancy tests and emergency contraception at several pick up spots all around this island.

See our services page for maps and locations.

All are completely free.

How it works: For Plan B & pregnancy tests, just mention “OISHA” (for example, “I’m with OISHA”) at the counter on your way out.

about OISHA

Orcas Island Sexual Health Alliance is a community-driven, sexual & reproductive health organization located on Orcas Island, WA. Founded in 2010 as the Island Reproductive Health Initiative, we began as a grassroots response to a critical gap in care. What started as an effort to provide testing and contraception has grown into a broader alliance working to connect Islanders to care by reducing access barriers, supporting education, and challenging stigma around sexual health.

In 2025, we became the Orcas Island Sexual Health Alliance to better reflect our commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. Our mission remains dedicated to responding to the growing needs of the island and serving the full diversity of our community.
